Behaviour released Mid-Chapter 10.2.0 on October 6. One visible addition is preset messages during a match. Their selection is configurable, and a pause of one to five seconds limits their frequency. Waiting longer resets that cooldown.
You can mute individual players in Match Details without notifying them. Alternatively, disable the system entirely under Gameplay. A missing response therefore should not automatically be interpreted as deliberate ignoring.
When Abandon, Surrender and End Trial Appear
Survivors receive Abandon when they are the only remaining human Survivor and all other remaining Survivors are bots. The Killer receives Abandon when every remaining Survivor is a bot, but at least one is not in the Dying State.
When all Survivors are simultaneously in the Dying State, their option is called Surrender. If every remaining Survivor is a bot and all are in the Dying State, the Killer receives End Trial. The update removes earlier proposed conditions involving repeated recovery from the ground or extended periods without generator work.
These conditions cover different situations. They do not establish that every voluntary exit has the same rewards or penalties. Dead by Daylight 10.2.0: When Can You Surrender or End a Match? lists the specific triggers.
Several Perks Differ From the PTB
Shoulder the Burden now injures the assisting Survivor and applies Broken for 160, 140 or 120 seconds. Its former Exposed effect is removed. The global deactivation for other users of this perk discussed during the PTB is also not adopted.
Dark Arrogance reduces the cooldown of missed or blocked attacks; successful hits are no longer included in that change. The PTB increase to This Is Not Happening’s Great Skill Check zone is removed, and Borrowed Time returns to its previous live version. Check the released descriptions before using a test-server build unchanged.
