Haunted by Daylight has been running in Dead by Daylight since October 13. The Void Tile from previous years is no longer accessible. Instead, Void Portals and roaming Void Haunts appear in trials. The October patch notes also explain how to use the event abilities.
Portals Replace the Trip to the Void Tile
Portals connect in pairs: using one takes you to its counterpart. Opening Void Rifts creates new portal pairs that stay open for the rest of the trial. Meanwhile, Haunts move around the map, seeking Survivors to inflict Hindered.
Survivors can use Void Portals to collect a large amount of Void Energy at once. There is a catch: the Killer can teleport directly to that portal. The energy gain therefore comes with an immediate risk.
Void Crystals Repair Generators Remotely
You no longer need to craft in the Void Tile to gain event abilities. Once you have gathered enough Void Energy, you can spend it on an ability.
Survivors start with Void Crystals. Use them to drop smoke bombs or place a crystal on a generator to repair it remotely. Killers can launch Void Haunts.
Bot-Match Exit Rules Also Change
The current update also changes the exit conditions for bot matches. A Survivor who has no other human Survivors remaining and at least one bot gets Surrender instead of the previous Abandon option. Killers get End Trial when all remaining Survivors are bots. The previous requirement for them to be in the Dying State has been removed.
