R.E.P.O.: Revive Friends With Their Head, Extraction and Health Points

Reviving a player during a round requires their head and a successful extraction point. They can return with just one health point.

A fallen friend leaves behind a head in R.E.P.O. that the group can recover. Bring it to an extraction point and successfully complete the required extraction there to return the player during the round. PC Gamer and Insider Gaming guides agree on this basic sequence.

Revive a Player at an Extraction Point

  1. Find the fallen player’s head and pick it up.
  2. Carry it to the extraction area. Secure the route so the next active player does not die during the rescue attempt.
  3. Bring enough loot to fulfil the extraction requirement. The head alone does not satisfy the loot quota.
  4. Activate extraction once the requirements are met. The returning player starts with very little health; PC Gamer specifies one health point.

Revival therefore does not mean the player can immediately carry heavy loot safely again. Include the return route and healing in your plan. A second death soon after extraction costs the group time and an active carrier again.

After the Final Extraction

PC Gamer also describes returning at the van after the final extraction when the head is brought there, with 25 health points. If the group cannot recover the head, returning between levels is a different situation from being rescued during a contract.

Revival does not completely restore your earlier health bar. Allow time for healing rather than immediately sending the rescued player alone into danger again.

With limited time, prioritise recovering the head safely, fulfilling the outstanding extraction requirement and maintaining an available route to the exit.
